update on childsupport

i think I have the hang of it...................

11/06/08 - Thursday --- the day the x got paid was: October 31st a friday
12/09/08 - Tuesday --- December 1st a Monday
1/08/09 - Thursday -- January 2nd a Friday
2/05/09 - Thursday -- February 2nd a Monday
3/05/09 - Thursday -- March 2nd a Monday
4/09/09 - Thursday -- April 1st a Wednesday
Update:
5/07/09 - Thursday -- May 1st a Friday
6/09/09 - Tuesday -- June 1st a Monday
7/09/09 - Thursday -- July 1st a Wednesday

prediction:
8/06/09 - Thursday -- as payday should be July 31 - a Friday

If pay day is a Friday, I seem to get the child support earlier then if it is on any other day of the week, so the state is set up for a standard Friday payday, and does not take into account other types of pay periods -- idiots, a computer program can be changed, but state employees are just doing their jobs (i can't help you my computer shows me the same thing you see -- so why bother having these job positions?), they don't have to think, that's the legislatures job or the politically appointed cronies.

working and verizon screw up

the older children have been at camp this week, it's been quiet, and peaceful, and busy. I've been working hard to de-clutter.

I got one room done along with the closet in that room, another room done but not the closet. I've started the kitchen -- just to get to the kitchen table and the extra counter (my kitchen is a very large 18'x11') the counter i was working on is on the other end from the actual kitchen counter, cleared off the dog cage that sits by that counter.

so now i want to put every thing away, because if i don't..................the children will drag it all out again ------ ug!!!! and all my hard work will be for naught.

so that is tonight's project.

then it's bed, up early to go get them, and then maybe come home and crash - lol

tomorrow night will be popcorn and a movie, the same with Sunday and then the cable will go off on Monday -- yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! oh no -- no more electronic babysitter what ever will i do - rofl

call # 1 -- i called verizon yesterday (Thursday the 18th) told them to switch the TV to local only on Monday the 22th, double checked that my contract was up and there would be no penalty told them not to change my current internet or phone options, and of course they changed the tv the second i hung up the phone -- idiots

call # 2 -- so i called back a few hours later when i realized what they had done and they said they couldn't do any thing their system was down and that they would call me back --- since when does a company this big ever ever ever call back? so no they didnt' call back

call # 3 -- so i called this morning and they fixed it with in the hour, and i made the girl assure me i was not getting locked into another contract they were just fixing the problem they created, she said i wasn't, but that my phone bill would have a lot of +'s and -'s on it, but she couldn't take the order to turn off the tv on monday because she was putting in the order to turn it back on -- so i'll wait till monday that way they can't screw it up again (ok i'm not holding my breath here)

if there was ever a company that was too big for it's britches and run by a bunch of arrogant grade C/buisness college graduates who care more about their stock holders then their customers -- and i'm not even sure if my phone service actually comes from them any more, they sold the area net work around here.... phone system never should have been de-regulated

and i wish i could get my copper line back a three hour batter back up doesn't cut it

o.O

swimming season has started / broken camera

oh sigh, we had swim testing yesterday for which level they would have class in, then we had a birthday swim party and today we had swimming at the local county pond ---- this last one has got to be the best deal around - 25$ for a year, swimming in the pond before and after the dates of the standard public swimming pool open and close, sand to play in, great play equipment if they get bored in the water, a shady place for me to sit and watch (a pet peeve of mine are children's play areas with no shade -- skin cancer folks is no fun) and of course the view is wonderful.

i could/should/would provide a picture, but well, after being told that no the child could not use my camera, the child took it any way when i wasn't looking and broke it, then hid it so i wouldn't know

i found it sitting in one of the child's dresser drawers, so now i'm out a 300$ camera and no way to replace it, i have a replacement policy on it, but of course when i got it i got it on sale and the replacement police is for the sale price -- stupid stupid stupid

i'm getting tired and frustrated by all the things the children are breaking i can't replace anything at the moment --------- it's making me look like a bad parent and them look like bad children which they really arn't, and said child in the camera insident will be paying me back a certain amount of money along with extra chores, but it still doens't replace the camera, and i get to miss taking pictures of special moments ------ disposable cameras are no fun and the processing fee is ridiculous and then to pay to get a disc and have the pictures on the computer to share with grandparents ---- and they are just that disposable --- land fill fodder

talk about the Gosselins everyone else is

i recently say a survey asking who side was i on, his or hers -- this is pure comercialism on the part of the survey taker, and sickening

personally, i think i've seen about 5 min of one of their shows

the Gosselins are all over the news, they are upset about this, but then again, they put themselves out there by helping to promote their show

true they have a unique situation that many people find interesting for this day and age so do the Duggars, and realizing this they could capitalize on it and make their financial lives easier

but ya' know, if they want their marriage to work and are serious aboutit -- it will, it's 100% up to them, we the public should be on the side of the children and the marriage -- of course the survey i saw didn't give these options, and it would make great tv to show them going into a marriage counselors office and the door closing -- truely not our buisness folks

i'm not watching the show i'd rather play wow

Labyrinthitis

ah too good to be true, i shoulda suspected something was up, my ears were not just letting me know that they were resting from the children the other night..........they were trying to tell me something else was up, and the first bout of dizziness came Tuesday in the middle of the night

so i have: labyrinthitus -- or middle ear infection, which of course they can't do much about, i just have to wait for my body to fight it off, sigh

ever had a very very high pitched squeal from small child hurt your ears? now multiply that when you have an ear infection..............sigh

or better yet the dog barking, or children fighting, squealing for fun, playing the kazoo, -- yup that's what i'm dealing with -lol

as a parent if you can't laugh or realize you will laugh at the little things later you are lost

sound

his voice held no self assurance, it quavered
it was so odd listening to my child on the phone
i actually listened not just to what he was saying
but to his voice

his voice was very odd, different
not like at any other time
i call him or talk to him

he did not sound good
ever talked to someone who did not feel safe where they were at?

that was the sound of his voice
he knew his dad wasn't going to help him and he was asking me for help

and all he needed was help with a computer game...............

silence

silence

no doors banging
no chatter
no yelling
no little paws or elephant stomping
no squeals
no beep bop boooop
no skids on cement
no bounces
no box
no jam
no slam
no icks
no ticks
no tocks

stillness
36 hours

silence

no mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, mom, moooooooooom
in all of it's different inclinations

stillness
instant
5:10pm

my ears are in shock, like after a long car drive
eardrums: throb, pulsate, numb, fuzzy, swollen

appreciate the noise
of 300 hours

a large pot of boiling water + (?) for dinner

i had no idea what to make for dinner, i wanted to make fish cakes, but the ones i like have potatoes and since there are no potatoes in the house so that was nixed

so i put 2 quarts of water to boil and decided to rummage in the fridge --- lol

in went white rice -- didn't measure wish i would have added more i was hoping for the consistency of pilaf
red lentils
amaranth
broccoli - chopped up
carrots diced
red pepper diced
a package of powdered onion soup
parsley
frozen precooked shrimp
frozen sweet corn
a pat of butter (that's about a table spoon or so :)

wish i had some cannoli beans (white beans) but i used those up the other day, vegetable stock in stead of the onion soup, and some chopped up dinner sausage, oh and brown rice but i have to use up the white somewhere

the whole thing smells great, and a preliminary taste confirmed it :) -- just needs salt

and dinner is ready in under an hour

too many irons in the fire

wow, i've got my house garden going, my community garden just got tilled, it's huge!!!!!! and if my neighbor doesn't get one for herself this year she is going to share mine :), we are finishing school for the year, i'm trying to plan next year, i still want to work on the religous ed committee at church, i want to take up on old hobby (sca), fix the house, and do the usual raise children, make dinner, have a life, fix a broken heart --- and so on and so on -- date? are you kidding i live a monastic life -- sigh hangs head in shame - rofl!!!! oh yea and play wow once in a while

i got the list of camp / activity dates off to my x -- so if he wants to have the children for a while this summer he can plan it, if not it doesn't matter they are busy and they will see him on their regularly scheduled dates

and i'm finally to the point where i need, or don't need, I HAVE TO!!!! do something about the house so it will be either:

A Clean Heart

or

Grand Plan

Katie Leckey the author of the Grand Plan had a new idea for de-cluttering called 'cubic clutter busting' up on her web site a few years ago, I really liked the idea so I might try to incourporate it as well -- it is no longer on her web site, but the idea was to set up a sorting area, go to the place you wanted to de-clutter, remove what didn't belong and in your sorting area have boxes ready to sort stuff into -- ok i might not be explaining it very well - lol

but i have an extra 'room' we are currently not using very well, and i think i can use it to sort stuff for a yard sale.
