swimming season has started / broken camera

oh sigh, we had swim testing yesterday for which level they would have class in, then we had a birthday swim party and today we had swimming at the local county pond ---- this last one has got to be the best deal around - 25$ for a year, swimming in the pond before and after the dates of the standard public swimming pool open and close, sand to play in, great play equipment if they get bored in the water, a shady place for me to sit and watch (a pet peeve of mine are children's play areas with no shade -- skin cancer folks is no fun) and of course the view is wonderful.

i could/should/would provide a picture, but well, after being told that no the child could not use my camera, the child took it any way when i wasn't looking and broke it, then hid it so i wouldn't know

i found it sitting in one of the child's dresser drawers, so now i'm out a 300$ camera and no way to replace it, i have a replacement policy on it, but of course when i got it i got it on sale and the replacement police is for the sale price -- stupid stupid stupid

i'm getting tired and frustrated by all the things the children are breaking i can't replace anything at the moment --------- it's making me look like a bad parent and them look like bad children which they really arn't, and said child in the camera insident will be paying me back a certain amount of money along with extra chores, but it still doens't replace the camera, and i get to miss taking pictures of special moments ------ disposable cameras are no fun and the processing fee is ridiculous and then to pay to get a disc and have the pictures on the computer to share with grandparents ---- and they are just that disposable --- land fill fodder
